We’re all just walking each other home
Meet ClareI am an End-of-Life Doula, deeply drawn to the mystery of death and dying. I think of birth and death as the most sacred bookends to life, and I believe the final threshold deserves to be honoured with tenderness, dignity, and compassion.
Deep, attentive listening is my gift and I can sit in presence, for you and your loved ones, during what can be the most difficult, messy, painful and devastating times, offering calm, compassionate, and holistic support.
My background in Nutritional Medicine further informs my approach, allowing me to hold a deeper understanding of the body, wellbeing, and the interconnected nature of our physical, emotional, and spiritual experiences at end of life.
I am passionate about normalising conversations around death and dying, and I wholeheartedly believe that open dialogue helps us live—and die—more fully.
Outside of this work, I live in Brisbane, am happily married and have three gorgeous free-spirited children. I hold a deep reverence for nature and find it to be a salve to my soul when life feels loud or complicated. As an avid bushwalker I am the person who stops to smell the flowers or admire a sweet little wren. Nature is my medicine!
I appreciate life’s simple pleasures – clean bedsheets, the smell of fresh bread, a comforting cuppa, or a home-cooked meal made with love. Oh, and I love deep conversations…I think most people that walk in this line of work do.
If you feel called to explore how I can support you or your loved one through this tender end-of-life transition, I warmly invite you to reach out.
